In Parade III Unit 3 we talk about student’s jobs and jobs in the community. It’s a lot of fun!

Yanger wrote: “I want to be a cook when I grow up. Because I like noodles. I like to work in a restaurant. I can cook beef noodles.”

Gina wrote: “I want to be a teacher when I grow up. Because I like to work in school. I can read books to my students.”

This picture is taken from one of our students’ writing samples. It shows good content, good development of the main ideas in the story. There are grammar mistakes, but these can be fixed easily. One of the reasons I picked this is because the content seems unusual and challenging.
